The officials from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) want to finalize these days the negotiations on a loan to be given to Romania, has said on Monday,
Gheorghe Flutur, at the end of a meeting of the inter-ministerial committee on ensuring the domestic and foreign financing of Romania.
"The IMF officials want to finalize the talks these days. Today (on Monday, e.n.) it's a busy day, because there are talks with the main parliamentary political parties, with the prime minister, with the trade unions, " said Flutur.
He has added that on Monday, the officials from the committee have held negotiations about the steps to be taken in the talks with the IMF. The talks also regard other issues, such as the stage of the reporting on the expenses for 2008.
"The government, thorough the Ministry of Finance earmarked high sums to the companies, to town halls , but not all the money has reached where it has had to, and an analysis has been made to see where there are deadlocks," Flutur has explained.
PM Emil Boc has asked minister of Finance Gheorghe Pogea to find solutions for the funding of projects, part of them on the infrastructure, village, county roads, etc. Flutur has explained that the members of the Committee have not been told about the receiving of a letter of evaluation of the IMF, and that the topic has not been discussed, because the talks have been underway.
