Director of National Institute of Magistracy is elected chairman of Lisbon Network

The director of the National Institute of Magistracy INM) Constantin Branzan was elected chairman of  the  Lisbon Network, a  network of information exchanges between the bodies and the institutions in charge of training Europe's magistrates.
The elected chairman's term in office lasts for two years.
 
Branzan was elected in the position during the 8th meeting of the Lisbon Network's Bureau, in Bucharest, last week, an INM release says. 'The election of  judge LLD Constantin Branzan as the chairman of the Lisbon Network confirms the commitment of the Romanian school to training Europe's magistrates as well as the acknowledgement of the quality standards it enjoys on behalf of the similar institutions of the other European states,' the source says.
 
Attending the meeting in Bucharest were the members of the Lisbon Network representing five  magistracy schools  of Europe, namely Croatia, Georgia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Romania, Spain, and Lisbon Network's Secretary Ana Rusu said, on behalf of the Council of Europe. Thirty-four member states of the Council of Europe joined the Lisbon Network.
