The Romanian-Serbian economic cooperation, the situation of the Serbian minority in Romanian as well as the Agreement of Stabilization and Association of Serbia to the EU have been the main topics during the talks between the Romanian prime minister Emil Boc and Serbian president Boris Tadic , on a state visit to Romania now.
According to a press release from the government, PM Emil Boc has reasserted, during the talks, Romania's position as regards the independence of Kosovo.
President Emil Boc and Serbian president Boris Tadic have shared points of view as regards the measures proposed by both countries for containing the effects of the economic crisis. Boc has given a lunch, on Friday, in the honour of Boris Tadic.
President Boris Tadic, on a two-day visit to Romania now, met early on Friday, with president Traian Basescu.
President Tadic has also met with speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Roberta Anastase, and with deputy speaker of the Senate Dan Voiculescu, whom he has held talks with about Serbia's support in the process of EU integration. On Saturday, the second day of his visit to Romania, president Boris Tadic will go to the city of Constanta, in south-eastern Romania, where he will visit the port facilities and will watch the soccer match between Romania and Serbia, in the qualifiers for the World Championships in 2010.
