'Through having the terminal built we want to attract more operators interested in carrying out cargo activities on Mihail Kogalniceanu Airport,' Teodorescu said, pointing out that the terminal's capacity will be of 10,000 ton goods per year, and it can be later enlarged. 'We have in view the consolidation of the Carpatair flights for post and packages,' the Airport's official explained.
The consolidation and the rehabilitation of the platforms for the aircraft mean another investment planned in the Mihail Kogalniceanu Airport , on EU funds, in 2009. The project will supply an eco-friendly deicing equipment for the tarmacs The Airport's officials also intend to increase the parking capacity from 200 to 600 airplanes and to implement a payment and monitoring system at the new parking place.
