Loading ...Premier Emil Boc has asked the special parliamentary subcommittees to debate in detail with the civil society provisions within the emerging legal codes that still 'render interpretations.'
'I have asked the special subcommittees of Parliament, Mr. Buda and Mr. Ponta, who are the leaders of the two subcommittees on the criminal and civil codes, to open a debate with the civil society so as to find out exactly what are the people's fears related to the codes, to listen to them and also to try to operate such amendments to eliminate unjustified fears, which the civil society may regard as justified instead,' Premier Boc told a TV broadcast on the national channel on Tuesday.
He added that the civil society's stance is 'welcome', with the Government to try to identify such modalities to carry a democratic debate and to correct in the end such ambiguities that might stir up the dissatisfaction of the people. 'The codes bring many good things in their essence.
Nevertheless, there still remain certain things that might rise interpretations and we have to discuss upon them. Thus, when we decide to assume responsibility, we will take all the proposals from the subcommittees and the civil society that remained without an answer and we will make all the necessary amendments,' Boc said.
