Loading ...Baneasa Passageway might open on Dec 15, if the weather is fine and the budget appropriations allow the works to be continued at a sustainable pace, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Radu Berceanu told on Friday.
'The passageway will be finished on Dec 15 if the weather is fine and we have money. Unfortunately works are late because of the red tape, because there are several institutions involved in it, namely the city hall of the 1st District and that of Bucharest city, and which approved some utilities, late, so that we had to wait even 11 months to get the approvals,' Transport Minister said when visiting the building site of the passageway, on Friday.
Minister Berceanu said that works go on at a fast pace, but the workers are very careful because the excavations have been unearthing several energy supply networks that had not been part in the initial works plan. It is the Portuguese Lena Company that builds the passageway located nearby the Baneasa Airport (northern Bucharest) and the building works cost about 48 million lei.
