PM Emil Boc, Public Finance minister Gheorghe Pogea and Labour minister Marian Sarbu held talks on Saturday with leaders of unionists about the budget measures to be taken, following the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Commission, according to a press release of the Government.
The government officials presented the contents of the agreement with the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund as well as the contents of the normative act regarding the budget measures which have to be approved, with a view to the implementation of the agreement with the European Commission and the IMF, according to the source. Discussed were also issues related to the salary raises for 2009, the single salary system law and the reform of the pension system.
Approached was the topic of the gift vouchers and the holiday vouchers and the regulation of bonuses in the normative act to be issued by the Government.
The government has shown readiness to take into account the remarks and requests of the union confederations, for the normative acts to be drawn up to answer the needs of the Romanian society, " the Government release said.
The meetings with the union confederations will continue in the period to come, in order to discuss both the single salary system and other topics of general interest, the press release also says.
