Loading ...A Romanian delegation headed by state secretary on global affairs, Doru Costea will attend the second annual forum of the Alliance of Civilizations (AC) that unfolds in Istanbul over April 6-7, reads a release issued by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) sent.
The forum of Alliance of Civilizations gathers a range of world and government leaders, representatives of international organizations and representatives of the private sector and civil society, religious and youth groups, with the goal of development of partnerships for the consolidation of confidence and reconciliation between cultures, reads MAE.
The event in Istanbul will focus on the development of concrete projects such as Café Salam, devoted to encouragement of interdependencies between young people, media and municipal organizations. Several projects devoted to restoring confidence and rebuilding of cooperation bridges in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
On the same occasion, MAE reports, the programme called 'Alliance Fellowship' on streamlining the dialogue between young leaders at global level is to be released. Other priorities are the expansion of the Alliance of Civilizations' database on the Internet as well as the release of two new databases, respectively the education on various religions and faiths and global initiatives for the rally of young people for intercultural understanding.
Romania's delegation will present the national strategies, programmes and actions held in favor of the intercultural and inter-religious dialogue, mainly in priority fields of the Alliance of Civilizations, respectively education, youth, media and migration, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
