Anastase: Public employees salaries and pensions not affected by IMF agreement

Government Ordinance of implementation of the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and with the European Commission represented the main topic discussed during their Thursday meeting by the leaders of the ruling coalition formed of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the Democrat Liberal Party (PD-L), the Government going to meet on Saturday to debate this normative act, announced on Thursday Chamber of Deputies Speaker Roberta Anastase.
 
According to her, Prime Minister Emil Boc  is to meet next Tuesday with the reunited standing bureaus of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate to present this normative act. "Public employees salaries will not be affected. As well, the minimum pension will be kept on, as well as the increases already discussed of pensions this year…
 
The lump-sum tax was also discussed and a formula was found, which otherwise was discussed with the employers' unions as well, aimed at reducing fiscal evasion", said Roberta Anastase. She added that the Ordinance will also contain "a certain budget rectification".
