The Central Election Bureau approved on Thursday the electoral logos of the political parties, pre-election alliances and independent candidates who filed their candidacy for the European Parliament polls, the Bureau said in a release.
The Bureau accepted the logos of the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR), the Democrat Liberal Party (PD-L), the National Liberal Party (PNL), the electoral Alliance of Social Democrats and Conservatives (PSD+PC), the Greater Romania Party (PRM), the Christian Democratic National Peasant Party (PNTCD), the Romanian Ecologist Party, the Green Party and the Civic Force.
The logos of three independent candidates were also approved, namely Elena Basescu, Pavel Abraham and Mihaela Mihai.
The Central Election Bureau decided to reject the applications for the acceptance of the logos filed by the Democratic Christian National Party and the People's and Social Protection Party on grounds that the two parties did not file lists of candidates to the Romanian elections for the European Parliament.
