Romania will attend the London Book Fair due over April 20-22. The Romanian stand is organized by the Romania Cultural Institute (ICR) for the second time consecutively.
ICR plans to offer an as comprehensive as possible image of the Romanian book market this year again and invited 32 of the most prestigious Romanian publishing houses to attend the event.
The stand will exhibit over 800 books by Romanian authors, or translations from English, audiobooks, CDs, tourism albums and guide books and dictionaries issued by the Romanian publishing houses, along with books published abroad through the financing programmes ICR developed by the National Book Center, several albums published by ICR Publishing House, as well as materials presenting ICR programmes and projects.
ICR will also stage a debate on the perception of Romania and the Romanian culture in the UK, starting from 'Once Upon Another Time', a book by Jessica Douglas Home.
The debate will happen under the logo ROOMania WITH A VIEW and are to attend Romanian and foreign publishers, British journalists and culture people while ICR President Horia-Roman Patapievici will host the event.
The London Book Fair is one of the most important book show worldwide.
