During the one month until the date set for protests, the BNS federations will mobilize trade unionists from all economic sectors represented in the confederation. The problems facing the employees affiliated with the BNS will be centralized in a document to be submitted to the Government together with concrete solutions.
Among their claims are: ensuring the preservation of jobs, also through government policies that should encourage the private field, maintaining the purchase power of wages and implementing a unitary system of social security.
The first estimations made by the representatives of the associations affiliated with the BNS point to a minimum 10,000 people to take part in the protests set for May 14, 2009. The trade unionists to take part in the protests are all BNS members. The march was set to start at 12.00.
