Loading ...President Traian Basescu told the Romanian public television late on Tuesday that the incumbent Government is the best we can have at this moment, from the two ruling parties (the Social Democratic Party and the Democratic Liberal Party respectively). 'I don't stay with the Government all day long.
There is sometimes a statement or a more or less inspired action, but I am quite confident that the incumbent Government is the best we can have now, from the two parties at rule. Both have done their best to appoint the best ministers, having political experience and the capacity to assume responsibilities,' President Basescu answered when asked whether the Government is highly performing and whether he fully trusts it.
Romania's President expressed his solidarity with the incumbent Government. 'I show my solidarity with this Government even if we might share different standpoints. I'll always try to discuss with the Government and find a solution because it is a crisis.
The Government and the President, at least, and even the Parliament and the candidates, have to speak the same language, and I have to say that the parliamentary majority has backed up the Government so far, irrespective of the statements made by some that are part of the ruling majority, but that have no ruling responsibility,' President Basescu stressed.
