In the beginning of the meeting Jean Marie Sayler emphasized the importance of the cohesion policy as well as the need to attract the EU funds.
This policy is vital for Romania. And I want to underline that, at the same extent, it is important also for the EU as a whole, because we think the cohesion policy is an important element of solidarity, of growing together as well, Sayler said.
In the EU official’s opinion this policy is extremely important, particularly in the context of the economic crisis, given that it has an important investment compound.
Also attending the event was the head of the Authority for Coordination of Structural Instruments in Romania Stefan Ciobanu.
