Loading ...The Ministry of Health (MS) has organized on Friday a video- conference with representatives of the county prefectures and Public Health care Departments on the reaction in case of appearance of a new flu virus on Romania’s territory and the measures to be taken from zero moment.
Dr. Ion Bazac, Minister of Health, asked for the organization of this video-conference in order to discuss the measures of prevention, monitoring and control of the A flu virus (H1N1).
“At present there is no such case in Romania, not even a suspicion in this regard”, underlined the Minister of Health in his video-conference.
MS officials debated with representatives in the territory the general measures adopted and implemented by the Ministry of Health, the setting up of coordinating committees at central, regional and county levels, establishment of management teams of eventual flu cases, at the level of infectious diseases hospitals.
MS updated the Plan of intervention in case of flu pandemic in conformity with the latest scientific studies and recommendations of OMS and ECDC aimed at protecting population against flu pandemic threat, getting the health care system ready to face an ample flu pandemic; detection of a a new flu virus during pandemic and stopping its spread to limit the number of infected people and securing the optimum conditions of medical care for the sick either at their residence, or in hospital.
