Thus, more than 3,700 homes will be completed this year, another 7,000 will follow in 2010 and 10,000 will be handed over in the next two years.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MTS) established a working group having the task to identify ways whereby young people can access banking loans in order to acquire residences. As for jobs for young people, Ridzi said that MTS has developed a national database with job vacancies intended for this category.
As far as European funding for youth is concerned, the Minister said that the European Social Fund could finance partnerships between universities and companies and the ERASMUS program could make disbursements for young entrepreneurs to start a business.
Another measure envisaged by MTS refers to assisting young people in receiving money for the associations they are affiliated to. Monica Iacob-Ridzi said that she wants programs providing funds for youth activities to continue.
“You will be able to access such funding from the state budget by submitting projects. Let’s try to do more with less money,” advised the Minister.
Attending the Second Congress of Romanian Students are about 1,000 representatives of students and youth from all 17 university centers of the country.
