One of the projects of candidate of the opposition National Liberal Party (PNL) in the europarliamentary elections Ben-Oni Arde lean is the “moral reform of the political class,” he told a news conference on Monday.
In his opinion another attitude is needed in Romanian politics, a kind of behaviour different from the one seen on TV “as it is only this way that one can change something in a deep-going and categorical way.”
Otherwise, thinks the Liberal candidate, Romania will have “a Balkan, circumstantial policy” in 20 or 40 years too, in which left-wing governments will vote for right-wing laws and the other way round.
Being involved in the course of years in several social and civic projects, Ardelean made it clear that all over the world young people, especially students and pupils, worked together with the political class, during the election campaigns included, without being kept aside from the candidates, from information.
“The Romanians must understand that one needs to assimilate the European values in order not to be subject to old-fashioned mentalities. As an MEP, I want to be a binding factor in order to support good practices in Romania’s interest,” said Ben-Oni Ardelean.
