Value of Dacia-Renault Group investments in environment protection exceeded 17 million euros over 2000-2009, according to an official release of the automaker.
At the same time, the group announced the launching of an Environment Declaration, document defining the goals of reduction of the impact of the plant activities upon the environment.
The declaration represents the guidelines in the environment protection field with a 10-year vision on the evolutions of the industrial site in Mioveni, Dacia-Renault informs.
As for the reduction of specific car consumption per vehicle, the carmaker officials refer to the following values: water consumption, down 97.22 percent, carbon emissions, lower 87 percent, electricity consumption, lower 86.57 percent and dangerous waste down 72.28 percent.
From the official data of the Romanian-French group results that all the industrial sites where Renault is majority shareholder are ISO 14001 certified starting with 2005, a standard validating the progress made by an industrial platform in the environment protection field.
Lately, Dacia has launched motor version less polluting, such as Logan with GPL and introduced “Dacia eco2″ signature, this as a guarantee the vehicle is made in an ISO 14001 certified plant. Moreover, carbon emissions do not exceed 140g/km, 95 percent of its components are recyclable and 5 percent of the used plastics are also recyclable.
At present, all Diese motor vehicles Dacia brand meet these criteria.
