Business operators are estimating that in Q2 2009, th industrial turnover will go down 18 percent as against the same period in 2008 , at the level of the first six months the estimated reduction being of 19.2 percent, according to the circumstantial survey conducted by the National Commission for Economic Projection (CNP).
In Q1 the turnover per total industry went down 20.7 percent, compared to January -March period. Most industrial branches reported a major shrinkage in turnover.
There have been, however, positive dynamics, for some branches suchas food industry, car manufacturing, installations and equipment, activities of services related extraction, production of pharmaceuticals, other means of transportation, production of computers and electronic and optical products.
The turnover for the delivered industrial production on the internal market reported in Q1, 2009 as against the same period one year ago, a cut of 23.8 percent, according toe estimates of businesss operators, in Q2, 2009, the turnover of the production bound for the domestic market is expected to continue the shrinkage of the first half year.
On the other hand, the turnover for the industrial production delivered on the external market reduced in the first three months by 14.8 percent, a contraction similar to the export of goods.
The estimates of the business operators interviewed point to reduction of 7.1 percent as against the same period.
The estimates were centralized in the circumstantial survey on Q2, made by the National Commission for Economic Projection.
The survey is based on a batch made according to the accounting balances and a questionnaire.
For the circumstantial survey made in 2009 the batch was of 567 business operators from the industrial sector, being the result of survey rate of 12 percent and providing 74-percent coverage rate.
