Loading ...President Basescu assured the members of the Government he would be a partner of the Government “till the crisis is over, hoping it will be over in due time.”
“I have had some talks with the Prime Minister and I wanted to let you know a few points of view.
Starting from the prerequisite that we are partners at a time of crisis, I want you to know that I will be a firm partner of the Government till the crisis is over, hoping it will be over in due time,” the Head of State told the extraordinary meeting of the Government.
Premier Emil Boc interrupted Traian Basescu and asked him jokingly if there would not be the same partnership between the Government and the President after the crisis was over.
“Do we have to suppose that we do not have the same partnership after the crisis?” Boc asked him.
“Then it all depends on how patient I will be with you,” answered the President laughing. “I am sure I will be … But anyway, at this time of crisis, you can put all your trust in my partnership with you.
But there are some things which, on the one hand, I would like you to know, and, on the other, I want to transfer to you as problems I think should be solved first of all,” said Basescu.
