The International Chess Festival Eforie 2009 will take place over June 18-24, organized by the Siciliana Bucharest Sporting Club.
The club’s president Dan Pasarelu told Agerpres that, besides the A tournament, main, some other 9 secondary tournaments are foreseen.
The time dedicated to a game is 90 minutes for 40 moves.
About 170 chess players from Romania and other countries have already signed in, but until the competitions’ date some 400 players are expected to come to Eforie (south-east of Bucharest, on the Black Sea coast).
The prizes amount to 52,100 RON (1 euro = 4.23 RON).
The festival’s partners are the Eforie Town Hall, the Sports Department of the Constanta county and the Tourism Agency SIND Romania.
