Loading ...The Dacia-Renault Group on Wednesday, June 17, launched the new Sandero Stepaway model at prices ranging between 9,200 and 10,400 euros (VAT included) a month after being simultaneously exhibited the Stepaway at the Barcelona Motor Show and at the L’Atelier Renault showroom in Paris.
The car will be traded in Romania as of June 23.
“The Sandero Stepaway is not a SUV, an 4X4 or a cros srover, but a new version of the model launched last year,” said Daniel Sasarean, in charge with the Sandero line, statement that has contradicted the initial plans of the domestic car producer.
The Stepway features a 20mm higher road clearance than the conventional Sandero hatchback while cosmetic upgrades include black and body-colored bumpers housing front and rear skid-plates, new fog lamps and roofbars plus protective cladding around the wheel arches and satin-finish chrome rocker panels, exterior mirrors and door handles.
Depending on the market, the Sandero Stepway will be available with a 90HP 1.6-liter petrol and a 70HP 1.5-liter dCi diesel engine.
