Romania simultaneously hosts three strong international chess Competitions.
After five rounds, on Friday, there is a day of break at the Kings’ Tournament, in Bazna, the strongest chess tournament of Romania.

In the classification, at the head of the competition are Vasily Ivanciuk, from Ukraine, with some 3.5 points each and Gata Kamsky (USA), and Liviu Dieter Nisipeanu (Romania), with 1.5 points are on the last places of the hierarchy, at half the competition.

On Friday, the first round of the “International Chess Festival Eforie 2009″ takes place.

Participating are almost

500 chess players, from all over the world, but in competition there will play, at corresponding categories, also mere lovers of chess, with a status of amateurs, regardless their age.

The children will benefit them too, of their own competition, organized on categories of age.

In the period of June 1928, the first edition of the International Festival called Cap Aurora takes place.

An open competition for seniors will take place and tournaments for children aged 8, 10 and 12 years, as well as competitions for chess puzzle contest.

The competition takes place at Delta Hotel in Cap Aurora.
