Renault group marked ten years since it took over Dacia plant in Mioveni, during which time it invested 1.5 billion euros in a plant that now has a capacity of 350,000 cars annually, according to a press release of Automobile Dacia.
The company now has, according to the press release, 18,000 employees, but of Dacia now depend some 130,000 employees.
Almost 80 percent of the cars built at Dacia are exported on 60 markets on four continents. In addition the subassemblies made at Dacia assures the necessary of parts for plants in Morroco, Rusia, Iran, India, Brazil, Columbia and South Africa.
Until the end of May 2009, sold were over 1,450 Logan and Sandero vehicles, of which over 950,000 under Dacia trademark.
