Ministry of Public Finance on Monday drew some 1.477 billion lei through an issue of T-bonds with discount put up for auction by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) with 523 million lei less that it had been scheduled.
The T-bonds are due in six months, and the average level of the yield the issue was bought for is of 10.87 percent. The moderate average level of the discount rate stands at 10.87 percent.
The overall value of the issue was of two billion le i, and the overall demand by the 13 banks that participated in the auction was of 2.883 billion lei.
According to the regulations en force, the Ministry of Public Finance rejected the submitted buying bids which exceeded a 11-percent yield.
