The economic crisis has not affected solely the work places and salaries, but Romanians’ vacations as well, reveals an opinion poll whose results are released on Myjob site.
In full recession, more than 80 percent of those participating in the latest opinion poll conducted by Myjob said they are giving up this summer vacation or take less free days.
As such, 24.13 percent of the respondents do not take a vacation this summer, 11.11 percent shorten their 2009 vacation and another 48.04 percent said they were seeking for another job and cannot go on holiday.
Just 3.83 percent of Romanians say they have a good job, which allows them to take a leave this summer, whereas 5.19 percent say they will take a leave, but remain on the spot, to be available for solving eventual job-related problems.
7.7 percent of the respondents say they give much more importance to their personal life than to career and, therefore, are not going to renounce their vacation this year.
The poll was conducted online, nationwide, over June 17 – 23, 2009, on a representative sample of 3,756 respondents.
Of them, 55 percent are men and the remainder 45 percent women. Capital inhabitants represent the majority – 32 percent, as well as the 21-30 year age group (53 percent).
