Prime Minister Emil Boc will attend in Ankara, on July 13, the signing ceremony of the intergovernmental accord for the construction of the Nabucco gas pipeline and of the joint political statement of the five states engaged on the project, the Romanian Government’s newsroom informed on Friday.
PM Boc will support Romania’s official stance as a state committed to the achievement of the Nabucco project both as a EU member country and in the framework of its bilateral relations with the transit states and the gas supplying ones.
The conclusion of the Nabucco interstate accord has in view the establishment a legal basis and the principles to lead to the achievement of this energy project. Through signing the Accord the partner states will secure an appropriate environment to the potential investors and suppliers and will guarantee its implementation.
Officials from Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Turkey are to sign the intergovernmental Accord.
On this special occasion, PM Emil Boc will have bilateral meetings with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the US special envoy for Eurasian energy Richard Morningstar.
Also accompanying PM Boc is Economy Minister Adriean Videanu.
