According to a July 13, at the meeting of Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophony women MPs, the Romanian delegation was represented by Sanda Maria Ardeleanu, who voiced, in the context of ongoing debates, support for Canada’s initiative to replace the syntagm “human rights” with “individual rights,” given that in French its semantics would be “rights of males.”
Alongside Canada, Sanda Maria Ardeleanu will be a co-rapporteur at the future meeting of Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophony women MPs.
The release informs that the 35th Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophony was held in Paris, over July 2-7, with Romania represented at the event by deputies Sanda Maria Ardeleanu, Ciprian Dobre and Marian Bogdan Niculescu-Duvaz.

Sanda Maria Ardeleanu also had a meeting with Ambassador Teodor Baconschi, to discuss the preservation and promotion of Romania’s cultural and linguistic values in the Francophone space.
