Premier Emil Boc stated on Thursday, after visiting “Aldis” cold cuts factory in Calarasi (south), that one of the Government’s priority is to outline a mechanism through which domestic production is aided.

He stressed that to this end the Executive is to use the state guarantees mechanism through which the enterprises preparing the raw materials for the final meat products will be encouraged.

“What I have seen here today (Thursday – editor’s note) gave me a warning signal in connection with what I knew, namely the lack of support in Romania for the raw materials production, for meat products, to be transformed into the finite products in stores.

Almost 80 percent of the processed meat for salami and sausages is imported”, said the Premier, after visiting the factory.

In the context, he voiced hope that the lending costs will go down, so that producers can contract loans to back the economic activity.
The Premier urged Romanians to buy products made in Romania, saying that this way each can take an anti-crisis measure daily.

The head of the Government has met on Thursday the local authorities in Calarasi County and afterwards he visited “Aldis” cold cuts factory.
