The Advisory Tourism Council met in Neptun on Monday to discuss the proposals of the members of this forum, referring to the stipulations in the draft law on tourism.
‘The tourism law is to set up a regulatory framework harmonized with the international standards and practices to boost the development of this field, and during the meeting today we have centralized all the proposals by the members of the Advisory Council for the new normative act to regulate the tourism activity and an improved form of the law will be read in the next plenary sitting due in the Danube Delta, on August 20, and it will be publicly debated, thereafter,’ Minister Udrea stressed.
The National Tourism Organization (ONT), a public-private partnership, is a body coordinating the promotion of Romania as a holiday destination, in compliance with the stipulations in the Master Plan achieved by the World Tourism Organization (WTO) experts.
According to the participants in the Council’s works, ONT will represent the key point in the development and promotion strategy of Romania as a travel destination, taking into account it sets the prerequisites of a private tourism business environment, represented by the shareholders associations along with the tourism promoting ones to be a real decision maker in promoting Romania as a holiday destination.
The Advisory Tourism Council includes officials of the Tourism Ministry, the shareholders associations, the trade unions and the national professional associations in the tourism industry.
