Representatives of the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development (MAPDR) met with the commercial representatives of the French Embassy in Bucharest, accompanied by a working delegation, to implement the Limousine breed (cows for meat production) in Romania, reads a MAPDR release.

Discussed at the meeting were issues regarding the ability to provide technical assistance for animal breeding, for farmers, professional training and the supply of inputs necessary for the animal rearing sector.

Following the talks, three lines of action were set: a sectorial strategy regarding the breed of cows suitable for meat production, the strategy’s implementation at a local level and coming up with an infrastructure plan, finding markets for the ram material and supply of breed animals.

The French side highlighted the company’s ability to draw European funds given their knowledge in the field.
