Almost 125,000 tourists, of whom more than 6,000 foreign citizens, are spending their week-end on the Romanian seaside, the most choosing accommodation in Mamaia and Costinesti resorts, according to a release of the Seaside – Danube Delta Association.
The association’s data reveal that a number of 124,862 tourists were registered in the accommodation units on the sea shore, of whom 118,550 Romanians and 6,202 foreigners.
The highest number of tourists, over 33,000, preferred Mamaia resort, and of them almost 3,000 are from abroad.
According to the Seaside – Danube Delta Association, the number of tourists spending their vacation on the seaside in this period is even higher when taking into account that the statistics do not include people accommodated in boarding houses or in camping.
