Referring to the measures aimed to help the coming out of the economic crisis, PSD leader said that the ministries headed by Social Democrats are devising working schemes and expenses cuts, and not necessarily lay offs, adopting solutions to the financial problems rather than some anti-social measures.
“This is the difference between us the the right-wing. We do not want the poor to suffer, to boost the redundancies number, but try to give subsidies, to help those companies which keep on and create new jobs”, he said.
“We are glad that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and European Commission representatives understood that pensions must be increased and financial aid granted to the most disadvantaged categories in Romania.
We cannot ask the same people – retirees, workers, farmers – who bore all the costs of the 20-year transition to also bear the economic crisis costs”, added PSD President.
