Premier Boc: Extra funding for at least 3 ministries at budget adjustment

21 august 2009

Information in English

The Ministry of Administration and the Interior (MAI), the Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation and the Ministry of Labor, Family and Social Protection will get extra funds at the upcoming budget adjustment, Prime Minister Emil Boc declared on Thursday.

“We will soon operate a budget adjustment and as I was announcing one week ago, at least there ministries – Interior, Education and Labor, respectively – will be among the receivers of supplementary funds,” declared PM Boc, who was present in Tulcea (country east), at the kick-start of modernization works on the Tulcea-Dunavatu road.

The head of the Executive thus answered a question related to the criticism leaders of the Police and Clerical Staff National Union (SNPPC) of MAI expressed after the meeting this morning with incumbent Minister Dan Nica.

SNPPC members staged early this week a nationwide protest over the government’s refusal to assign the funds still missing from the budget approved for 2009, which has resources for just ten months. The protest was halted on Wednesday.
