Loading ...New orders in industry, foreign and domestic market, decreased in nominal terms compared to the previous month by 6.9 percent and by 20.9 percent as against the same month of the previous year, according to a release of the National Statistics Institute (INS).
Compared to the first seven months of the previous year, in the same period of 2009, the new orders in industry went down on the whole by 21 percent because of reductions in the following sectors:
industry of intermediary goods (down 41.4 percent), industry of durables (down 24.5 percent) and industry of consumer goods (down 10.4 percent).
On the other hand, the industry of capital goods grew 1.4 percent.
