EU enlargement policy, discussed by representatives of Romanian and Greek foreign ministries

A consultation round on European topics between the foreign ministries of Romania and the Hellenic Republic took place on Wednesday, in Bucharest, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informs in a release.

State secretary for European affairs Bogdan Mazuru headed the Romanian delegation and the Secretary general for European affairs, Dimitrios Katsoudas, the Hellenic one.

The two sides approached the evolutions in the West Balkans and the European Union (EU) policy of enlargement. They also discussed the evolutions in the eastern neighborhood, respectively in the framework of the Black Sea Synergy and of the Eastern Partnership.

The talks revealed a similitude of positions between Romania and the Hellenic Republic, as well as the sides’ readiness to continue cooperation in the field of EU policies addressed to the eastern neighborhood, the quoted source also said.
