Loading ...President Traian Basescu asked, on Thursday, the members of the Upper Council of Magistrates, CSM, the immediate entering into legality, saying that the protest of the magistrates, because of which courts do not function, is virtually a strike.
‘Legality is needed immediately, ‘ the head of state told the CSM members, adding that some of them did not have the courage to say that the protest of the magistrates is, for that matter, a strike.
The Romanian president, who attends the plenum meeting of CSM, added that the inspection department of the Council should verify if the law for the operation of courts was observed.
The head of state also said that there is a big number of prosecutors and lawyers who make pensioning decisions, but they are not enforced. He asked CSM to pay attention to these decisions.
