Loading ...Ministry of Public Finace (MFP) has issued bonds in 2009 worth 53 billion lei, trying to cover the deficit , said Bogdan Dragoi, state secretary with the Ministry of Public Finance, present on Thursday at the Conference on the capital market.
‘In 2009 alone we have issued bonds worth 53 billion lei. The rising confidence in the Romanian market allowed the rise in maturity from 3 months to 5 years.
We’ll direct to the foreign market within a month or two, to eurobonds, if we can obtain a correct answer about the maturity and the price.
Bogdan Dragoi stressed the municipalities’ appetite for bond issues, adding that 23 local authorities have issued bonds worth 600 million lei.
