Loading ...President Traian Basescu received on Thursday, at the Cotroceni presidential Palace, a parliamentary delegation from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, headed by the Senate’s speaker Zaid Al Rifai, currently on a visit to our country.
According to a press release by the Presidential Administration, during the talks the parties approached the stage of the bilateral relationships and the recent evolutions within the Peace Process in the Middle East.
The Romanian head of state said, according to the source, that the high level of the bilateral dialogue, confirmed through a significant number of projects focused on the cooperation between the two countries.
Traian Basescu also voiced Romania’s support for the efforts Jordan is making to sustain the understanding between different cultures and religions, as well as for the approaches towards the achievement of the peace in the Middle East, the press release adds.
