The meeting brings together ministers and other officials from producing states, of transit and importers of energy of Central Asia, the Black Sea area, the EU and the United States, the business environment and international financial organizations, analysts and representatives of the media.
The talk agenda of the forum includes themes such as the diversification of the energy sources and routes by the running of major infrastructure programmes (such as the construction of gas pipelines, terminals for gas liquefying, the achievement of interconnections, the national energy networks), the promotion of the production of energy from renewable sources, nuclear included, energy efficiency, the debating of the important role of players such as Russia, the countries in the Black Sea region and Central Asia in the drawing up and the implementation of the energy policies in Europe and in managing the future challenges in this area.
The holding in Bucharest of the first edition of this forum ensures visibility for Romania at international level and the confirmation of its important role at regional level, as regards the sector of energy.
The event stresses the contribution of Romania to the facilitation of the energy dialogue in the Black Sea area, with the participation both of the producing states in the Caucasus and Central Asia as well as of the consuming countries in the EU and the United States, says MAE.
