In the case of Romania, estimates say that vaccinated should be three or four million people, Molnar Geza said, adding that the peak of the pandemic will be Feb through April.
As regards the seasonal pandemic, the doctor stressed that it is done at people aged over 65 and those with known chronic diseases, and a month after the vaccination, the vaccination for the new flu can be done.
“The strategy recommended by the European Union for this kind of vaccination says that vaccinated will be the persons from the sectors with major risk and those with social and economic problems. Recommended is also the vaccination of pregnant women – which Romania is done only at their request, of the children in the kindergarten, of pupils, of the youth,” explained the specialist, adding that the vaccination reduces 40 percent the cases of diseases.
