3 octombrie 2009

Information in English

Prime Minister and Minister of Education Emil Boc stated on Friday, at the ministry’s headquarters, that the ministers who have taken over interim portfolios left vacant by Social Democrats, will not get any extra pay for that. He also said that the state secretaries will be established on Monday.

The Premier pointed out that just one or two state secretaries at most will be maintained in each ministry. As such, the Ministry of Education will have two state secretaries.

All state secretaries members of the Social Democratic Party (PSD, in opposition) tendered their resignations on Thursday.
On Friday as well, the Government’s Press Office pointed out that the interim ministers will not get any extra money and that their wages will stay as they are. In conclusion the ministers will not be remunerated for the interim held positions.

PM Emil Boc decided on Thursday, following PSD ministers resignations, that the Democrat Liberal Party (PD-L, at rule) ministers will take over the respective portfolios.

The highest number of arrivals are from Hungary (37.2 percent), Bulgaria (18.4 percent), Germany (9.3 percent) and Italy (7.7 percent).
