The European Commission does not comment on Dacian Ciolos” nomination for European commissioner on behalf of Romania, spokesman for the Commission Mark Gray told Agerpres on Monday. This is the attitude of the European Commission toward all the European Union member states that have announced or will announce their nominations for the European commissioners of the future European Commission.
Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc informed on Monday at the end of an extraordinary meeting of the Government that Former Agriculture Minister Dacian Ciolos has been recommended for a European Commissioner office on behalf of Romania.
“The nomination will be forwarded to Romania”s President, who will submit it to the President of the European Commission. We did the nomination following Ireland”s ratifying the Lisbon Treaty, Poland signing the treaty and waiting for the decision of the Czech Republic so that the Lisbon Treaty may fully come into force,” said Boc.
