The Finance Ministry (MFP) on Monday drew over 850.32 million lei by an issue of treasury bills with discount, put up for auction through the National Bank of Romania (BNR). The treasury bonds are due on April 14, 2010 and the average yield the issue was bought for is 9.97 percent.
The moderate average yield of the rate of discount was of 9.49 percent.
The overall value of the issue was of one billion lei and the overall demand by the 13 banks that participated in the auction was of 1.84 billion lei. Submitting buying offers of treasury bonds were 13 primary dealers – Alpha Bank Romania, BRD – Groupe Societe Generale, Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR), Carpatica Commercial Bank (BCC), Transilvania Bank, Bancpost, CEC Bank, Citibank Romania, ING, MKB Romexterra, Raiffeisen Bank, RBS Bank Romania and UniCredit Tiriac Bank.
