Former Agriculture Minister Dacian Ciolos has been recommended for a European Commissioner office on behalf of Romania, Prime Minister Emil Boc informed on Monday at the end of an extraordinary meeting of the Government.
“The nomination will be forwarded to Romania”s President, who will submit it to the President of the European Commission. We did the nomination following Ireland”s ratifying the Lisbon Treaty, Poland signing the treaty and waiting for the decision of the Czech Republic so that the Lisbon Treaty may fully come into force,” said Boc.
