PSD leader asks PDL to go to opposition

15 octombrie 2009

Information in English

President of Social Democratic Party Mircea Geoana spoke up on Thursday for the recognition of “the new democratic reality in Parliament” and the passing of the Democratic Liberal Party to the opposition.

According to him, the clinking to power of the Democratic Liberal Party, is a bad and unexpected thing.

At this moment, Traian Basescu wants nothing more than a PD-L government. He is desperate to lose the power.

At this moment I want to appeal to the recognition of the new democratic reality in the Parliament of Romania, and to officially ask for the recognition of the new democratic reality in the Parliament of Romania, and Mr Boc and Basescu for the passage of the PD-L to the opposition.

In any democratic state, a party that has 30 percent goes to the opposition, if there is a majority of 65 percent.

The clinging to power of the Basescu-Boc regime is, at this moment, something bad for Romania and something unacceptable, ” were the arguments of the PSD leader. The speaker of the Senate also appealed to responsibility. “I am making an appeal to responsibility, and to a little dignity, at least, from Mr. Basescu, in order not to push the country in an area where, evidently, there is no form that a majority be imposed a formula of some other nature, ” the PSD president also said.
