The 22nd edition of Romanian Tourism Fair 2009 – TTR 2009, the autumn edition (Oct. 15-18), will be held in Bucharest-based Exhibitions Centre, the event this year being organized in partnership with the county chambers of commerce and industry, under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism (MT).
MT plans to promote Romanian tourist destination at this edition, mainly winter season destinations.
The Ministry of Tourism together with the local public administrations and travel industry professional associations have organized presentation stalls for the promotion of Romanian tourist destinations, as well as events aimed at highlighting each zone specificity.
Here as well, traditions and handicraft stalls will be arranged, representative for various folklore zones in Romania.
Romania’s display surface of 5,000 square meters is located in Romexpo Central Pavilion. At the same time, the “Tourist in Romania” programme will continue through the launch of “Christmas in Maramures” campaign which plans the promotion of this zone in the northern country as a tourist destination for winter holidays.
Minister of Tourism Elena Udrea will offer diplomas to protected areas in Romania participating in the European contest “EDEN – European destinations of excellence”. The programme on Thursday includes other events organized by Romanian travel agencies and tour operators present in this event – folklore and traditions shows, as well as mediaeval music, competitions for the public.
Promotion documentary films of the Romanian tourist regions will be screened, specific products will be tasted and information materials distributed to the public. Exhibitors will launch various tourist and promotional packages offers for winter holiday season.
