The Spanish Interior Ministry awarded Under Commissioner Eliodor Tanislav, the Domestic Affairs Attaché of Romania’s Embassy in Madrid, the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Civil Guard with White Distinction, informs a press release.
The award was given on the Hispanity Day, Spain’s National Day, and the Romanian Domestic Affairs Attaché got the distinction for the contribution he made to combating criminality in Spain.
According to the above-mentioned release, granting this distinction also confirms the excellent cooperation between the two countries and their Ministries of the Interior.
The award ceremony took place at the general headquarters of the Civil Guard in Madrid, the under delegate of the Spanish Government, some high rank officials with the Spanish Interior Ministry, other officials with the Supreme Council of Magistrates and the other domestic affairs attachés of the EU member states accredited to the Spanish capital attending.
