Moldovan Premier Vlad Filat talked on the phone with Romania’s President Traian Basescu on Thursday morning and approached general questions referring to the relations between the two countries, informs a release the Government in Chisinau sent to Agerpres.
President Basescu and Premier Filat talked about the planned opening of an additional number of polling stations in the territory of the Republic of Moldova for the election to be held in Romania as well as about the intention to open some new consular sections of Romania in the Republic of Moldova.
During the talk they had they also approached the question of signing the agreement on the small border traffic. Vladimir Filat opted for speeding up work in this respect and was assured by Romania’s President that the necessary action would be taken for this purpose, reads the above-mentioned release.
