The political crisis overlapping the economic one can lead to the cessation of payments in certain fields, said on Thursday Mihai Seitan, State secretary with the Ministry of Labor.
“The political crisis atop the economic one does nothing but delays every measure conducive to getting the funds agreed upon with the World Bank, with the European Union, so we can cover spending, deficits and, in case the economy fails to recover, we risk losing the money”, stated Mihai Seitan on the occasion of a debate focused on “Migration policies”, organized by the Konrad Adenauer Institute and Foundation of Germany.
He pointed out that “real soon” means a maximum two weeks and that the expected amount to cover spending is of approximately two billion euros, in the absence of which the deficit would be impossible to be offset.
“To be able to pay for the deficit it means you have to cut investments by almost half the current amount in order to be able to pay the pensions”, emphasized the State secretary.
